A pop-up request that I enter my email address every time I access service

Hello

For the past few weeks, every time I tried to access service, it prompts me to my email address. This only happens with Google Chrome. If I use Microsoft Edge, it loads service directly.

I would prefer not to switch to Microsoft Edge. Owing to a disability I use my PC with speech recognition software, which is better with Google Chrome.

Thanks

Hi @Dragon496

If you use Chrome for multiple accounts, a profile dedicated to Power BI can reduce sign-in issues.

• In Chrome, click your profile icon in the top-right corner.
• Select Add Profile, log in to your Microsoft account, and use this profile exclusively for Power BI.

Hello

Unfortunately, all the suggestions did not work-I am still being prompted for my email address. I actually work in IT, although avoid working with Power BI as much as I can, I tend to concentrate on ETL at the backend (although I can do it, any work that is mouse dependent, is extremely slow doing it with my voice recognition system).

Remember, I am not prompted for my email address, when working on my office PC-the problem is simply with my work's laptop at home.

Thanks

Hi @Dragon496 ,

You can try whatever @rajendraongole1 mentioned.

You can ask your team to embedded the reports on teams then it will be easy for you to navigate and open the reports directly on teams.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/collaborate-share/service-embed-report-microsoft-teams

I hope it will be helpful.

Thanks,

Sai Teja

Hi @Dragon496 -  you're experiencing with Google Chrome repeatedly asking for your email when accessing Power BI Service could be due to browser-specific settings or cached data interfering with the login process.

In Chrome, click the three dots menu (⋮) at the top-right corner.
Navigate to Settings > Privacy and Security > Clear browsing data.
Select Cookies and other site data and Cached images and files.
Clear the data, then restart Chrome and try accessing the service again.
2. Disable Auto-Sign-In or Manage Saved Credentials
Sometimes, saved login information conflicts with the sign-in process.

Steps:
Go to Chrome Settings > Autofill > Password Manager.
Check if the email/password combination for Power BI or Microsoft is saved.
Delete the saved credentials for Power BI or re-save them correctly.

If these solutions don’t resolve the issue, consider using an extension like User-Agent Switcher in Chrome to mimic Edge’s behavior. This might bypass the issue temporarily.

Hope this helps.
