500 error when navigating to visuals through power bi portal in report

When trying to add a new visual to a report in PBI Service, a 500 error occurs when selecting a visual in app source store gallery.

Click on add visual to select one:

click on any visual in list returns this:

I'm getting the same error when I try to add a visual as organization visual in the PowerBI admin portal. Is this a known issue?
