2 set of data on the same line chart

Hello,

I want to plot 2 sets of data with the same unit on the same line chart. I have the data of thousand of samples representing engineering strain-stress curves. I insert the engineering strain on the x-axis and the engineering-stress on the y-axis. I can sort them with the legend. I want to add samples data of the true strain-stress curve (for each sample both engineering and true strain, stress data is recorded). So I want to add the true strain on the x-axis and the true stress on the y-axis and then sort them with the legend (the same one than the previous curve). Then I can select if I want to visualize engineering, true or both strain-stress curves.

Thank you for your help 🙂

Hello,

Below you will find an example of the data I want to plot (just the first rows of my set of data). The idea is to plot the curve eng_strain/eng_stress and true_strain/true_stress on the same line chart. Then I would like to select if I want to plot only the eng_strain/eng_stress curve or true_strain/true_stress curve or both curves.

Thank you for your help

Your sample data is rather inconclusive The stress values are too similar.

Hello,

Yes, this is normal. There are the first points of the curve. The curves are confidential and I didn't want to send 2000 points. But the idea is to draw 2 curves on the same graph (x-axis strain, y-axis strain) and to be able to choose if I want to see one or both curves. Do you have a method for doing this?

What part of my proposal would need to be changed?

I don't want to have index in x-axis., I would like to have strain. I then I would like to have a slicer to be able to select which curve I want to plot (engineering strain-stress curve or true strain-stress curve).

Thank you in advance for your help

Best regards

François

Yes exactly. I have to create a category column with true and strain. That was my missing information! Thank you for you help 🙂
