2 questions, one is about gateways and schedules. Also on personal workspaces.

Hello, thanks for looking at my post.  I have 2 questions.

1st, we have a person on materinty leave who has a personal workspace with a bunch fo reports.  We need to get the pbix or assign the report to an active user.  I cannot see in the admin portal where I can do this, is there a way to either download the pbix or assign the workspace to another user?

2nd, We want to know what "Schedules" are running against our enterprise gateway?  We think someone created a schedule that is slowing it down another report we have running against it.  How can I see which users or schedules are hitting a gateway?

Thanks

Hi there

1. You would have to log in as that user on maternity leave to get access to the PBIX and download them. As is best practice is to get users to all use App Workspaces for content and distribution of content.

2. You can use the Power BI REST API in order to see not only the refresh history. You can reference this website on how to built the monitoring which will allow you to see what is happening https://www.blue-granite.com/blog/monitoring-power-bi-on-premises-data-gateway-performance?utm_campa...

@GilbertQ  Thank you for your answer. It helps me a lot.  One last thing, can you point me to an article or documentation that shows what an App workspace is and how to create it vs a personal workspace?  Thanks

@dmorales

An App Workspace in the Power BI Service is where reports, workbooks, dashboards, and datasets are saved, and where data refresh schedules and other settings are defined. An App Workspace is suited to development & collaboration with coworkers whereas My Workspace is a private area where you can share Reports,Dashboards and datasets individualy.
