1 Dataset for multiple apps

Hi there,

I'm a PowerBI Pro user and currently have a Regional Report that is published to an App Workspace and shared with Regional Managers.

There is now a request to share 2 pages of the existing report with Country Managers (the rest of the report contains KPIs that are not relevant at country level).

Visually, this is what I'm trying to do:

May I know what's the most efficient way of getting the Country Report published to an App Workspace?

  1. Can I use a shared dataset?
  2. Would I need to create the Country Report from scratch, or is there an easier method?
  3. Does Country Report have to be published to a separate App Workspace, or can it share the same Workspace as the Regional Report?

Thanks in advance for the guidance!

1. Yes
2. Yes, just copy/paste
3. No, it will share the same Workspase, because of 1.

Hi @Anonymous ,

Thank you for the advice.

For item 3, is there a way to have separate links to the 2 reports if they share a App Workspace?

Ideally we don't want to give the option for Country Managers to view the Regional report, even if role level security is applied.
