Hi I'm the admin in a workspace and when I provision a native SQL db in Fabric and try to read from it in a pipeline, I can't. However, I'm able to read and write from within the SQL editor just fine, I can create tables/functions and interact with the database just fine. It's only through the pipeline that I can't. What could it possibly be? All my permissions are in place.
Hi @User_thename
I hope you were successfully able to raise the Support Ticket. If you need any assistance let us know.
We would be closing this thread. If you have any questions, feel free to post your query in a separate ticket and we would be happy to assist you.
Thank you
Unfortunately, I have exactly the same problem.
Hi @User_thename ,
Seems like its a connectivity issue which is specific to the pipeline execution environment, not your SQL db or permissions.
If you're using a gateway, verify that it supports TDS over port 1433.
Try to use explicit cloud connection, map your Fabric SQL db explicitly in the pipeline settings.
If your pipeline references a staged query or intermediate Lakehouse, try simplifying it to a direct read/write operation.
If you are still getting an error even after following these checks, try raising a support ticket.
How to Create a Support Ticket
Hope this helps!
