Semantic model fail to return inner joins of other dimension tables data in PowerB (works in Cognos)

Hello, 

I've built below a semantic model in fabric lakehouse. When I try to create report in Power BI using SalesDivivion & Time (year) columns and its failing with wierd error(2nd screen shot).. Wherase, in similar design at Cognos report & its working fine. 

Logically, those two dimension tables are joined via fact as per semantic model. It works well in Cognos & but failing in PowerBI dashboards

I think you should follow the relationship between Power BI and the data filtering flow between them. The main reason for your error is that you put two fields into the visual object, and Power BI cannot determine what data needs to be displayed based on your relationship.
The official documentation also describes this common problem and its solution in detail. In general, you need to understand the relationship between Power BI tables and then build the correct model:
