Salesforce Refresh

I have a Salesforce object report in Power BI Report Server.  Currently I get this message when I try to configure refresh "This data source does not currently support scheduled data refresh."  That's not entirely helpful and I'd like to know why it doesn't support scheduled refresh, if there are any plans for it in the future and if anyone has any workarounds.  Currently I'm refreshing every day myself in desktop and reuploading it but that's not a good solution.

I am very interested if You were able to set up a scheduled refresh or have you found a workaround for this problem?. We are currently refreshing the dataset by saving data on the Excel file and setting Task Scheduler and PowerShell for Refresh and also Scheduled Refresh in Power BI RS, but this isn't an ideal solution because of the often prompts for Credentials.

I have since moved totally off report server and am now in the cloud so I'm not sure if this works.  What I did was add a random database object (usually a small table for speed reasons) to the sources and that would work.

Power BI Service uses the gateway to refresh SalesForce data and PBI Report Server doesn't have that possibility so we have to think of a solution via some other resource. 

You @leahschneider , are better off on the Service. 

If anyone has a solution for scheduled data refresh or knows when can we expect it in PBI Report Server in the future, feel free to replay.

• If data source can be connected using only OAuth (e.g. Facebook, Google Analytics, Salesforce, etc.), then cache refresh plan cannot be created. At the moment, RS does not support OAuth authentication for any data source whether it is for paginated, mobile or Power BI reports.
