SSAS Edition

Hi,

When I deploy a tabular model from VS, does the Edition option ask which Edition the SQL Server is already running...or is it asking me which Analysis Service Editon I would like to deploy?

Not sure if the SSAS cube can be a different edition than the SQL Server

It's asking which version the server is running. The idea is that it can then warn you if you have anything in your project that is not supported on the target server.

You cannot have a different edition per cube. The edition is based on what was installed on the server
