Please help in addressing the above error I get when I apply changes to the change in server
Hi @Shiva2210
Just checking in to see if you had a chance to try the steps shared earlier regarding the DB2 connection issue in Power BI.
If you’re still running into issues, feel free to share the latest error message or logs, happy to help troubleshoot further. If the above response helps, consider marking it as “Accept as solution” and giving a “kudos” to assist other community members.

Hey @Shiva2210 ,
The error typically indicates an issue with the DB2 client environment setup. Based on the tokens shown, it seems the DB2 .NET provider might not be properly installed or configured for the version of DB2 (11.5.40) being used. Few things to check:
DB2 Client Installation: Ensure the DB2 .NET Data Provider (v11.5.40) is correctly installed on the machine where Power BI or the gateway is running.
Environment Variables: Verify that the necessary DB2 environment variables (like DB2PATH, PATH) are correctly set.
32-bit vs 64-bit: Confirm that the architecture (32-bit or 64-bit) of Power BI matches the DB2 client installed.
Gateway Setup: If you're using an on-premises gateway, make sure the same DB2 provider is installed and configured on the gateway machine.

Installing IBM Data Server Driver Package
If you found this solution helpful, please consider accepting it and giving it a kudos (Like) it’s greatly appreciated and helps others find the solution more easily.

Hi @Shiva2210
Power BI is trying to connect to a DB2 database, but the DB2 .NET Data Provider failed to start because it’s not properly installed or set up. To fix this try to Install the IBM Data Server Client (Full version), Make sure it's version 11.5.40 (same as in the error). Use the 64-bit installer (since Power BI is 64-bit).
if it still fails, Make sure your Windows user like AzureAD has permission to access the DB2 server.
