I cannot add data to the "Values" of a matrix table

I have a very strange issue:

I cannot attribute a data to the "Values" part of my matrix.  I can only add measures - So it will work if I create a measure such as

Measure = MAX('DATA SITCOM'[End User])
However, with a previous version of the same .pbix file, I DO NOT have the issue at all and I can add any data.  Worst, if I create the matrix in the previous version of the file, and copy paste it in the new version, it works...
I have another issue is that I cannot choose "last" for filters like Top N.  I am thinking it might be related.
The new version of the file was worked on by an intern, so I don't know if he changed a parameter or so.
Anyone ever encountered (& solved :)) this issue ?

Hi, @Pnopoes

Since your new version of PBIX creates calculated groups, then it will not be possible to add other fields to the values of the matrix. For this reason I made a simple sample data:

We can add other fields to the VALUES of the matrix normally when I don't create a calculated group:

When I create a calculated group, I can't add fields to values, but I can add measures to values:

Since your original report did not have a calculation group, you copied this measure and it worked fine. This is a feature of the Calculation group and you can learn about it from the link below:

Thank you very much @v-jianpeng-msft

It was indeed the problem - I guess my intern fiddled with Calculation group. There was none, but the property "Discourage Implicit measure" was turned on.

I include a screenshot of where it is as I struggled a bit to find it.

I'd check the file settings between the current and previous versions to see if any thing is different.

Thanks - I looked at Options & Settings and both files have the same selected 😞
