Error while uploading file to Report Server

Hi,

 

 When we are trying to upload pbix file over Report Server, it is giving us an error 'there was an error uploading your .pbix file. verify that the file has not been corrupted and that the file extension matches the format of the file.'

 

We are using latest versions of Report Server and Desktop file.

Report Server version: January 2021

Desktop version: January 2021

 

We are facing this issue in Production environment and we need to release PROD URL to client next week.

 

Can anyone help us on this issue.

    My issue is resolved now. Versions for both application was compatible but I have re-installed the database in configuration manager and issue resolved.

    Hi Anonymous ,

     

    Please check if your Power BI Desktop (Optimized for Power BI Report Server) version is 2.88.1382.0, published on 1/28/2021 and Power BI Report Server version is 15.0.1105.195, published on 2/12/2021. Desktop RS must same release version or older (not newer) as server.
