Hi fgghh ,
Thank you for reaching out to the Microsoft Community Forum. This is a server-side (500) error from Power BI Report Server and the most common reason is a version mismatch. If the PBIX was created using the regular Power BI Desktop (or a newer build), the Report Server may reject it with this generic error.
Use Power BI Desktop for Report Server, matching your server version and try uploading again. If it still fails, check the PBIRS log files, those will show the exact cause (e.g., unsupported features or resource issues).
If I misunderstand your needs or you still have problems on it, please feel free to let us know.
Best Regards,
Community Support TeamHi fgghh ,
I suggest you validate server health (CPU, memory, disk), check for any recent updates or changes, try uploading a simple PBIX to see if it’s file specific and confirm all Report Server services are running.
If I misunderstand your needs or you still have problems on it, please feel free to let us know.
Best Regards,
Community Support Team
