Direct Query is not working once I publish the report. I see following error. It used to work in June time frame. Please advise
Please help.Error
Make sure you configure your data source/s after you publish to PBIRS. Go to the ellipsis (...) on your report in PBIRS -> Manage ->Data sources and setup your server name/ auth type / credentials.
I've always had to go there and configure, even though it worked in the PBIRS Desktop before publishing.

I have 2 PBI reports in using Desktop, connecting to Azure SQL DB
1. ImportQuery - Azure SQL DB
2. DirectQuery - Azure SQL DB
I got Power BI Pro account, I've published the 2 reports, they both show error, "There is no gateway to acces the data source", > Dataset setting to fix the error:
1. ImportQuery - Azure SQL DB -> Data Source Credentials -> input the correct credentials -> FIXED
2. DirectQuery - Azure SQL DB -> Data Source Credentials is DISABLED
I'm very confused on this, they are both consuming Azure SQL DB, but why is the DirectQuery is requiring to have onpremise gateway or the Datasource is disabled.
Kindly comment if I'm missing something here.
Thank you
