Hello,
I have a Power BI Desktop downloaded on a remote desktop. I have on this Power BI Desktop a report that is connected to a SQL Server. When I publish the report to Power BI Service it fails to refresh. I downloaded the free Power BI Gateway on the remote desktop and connected it to the service, but it has failed to connect to the SQL Server. I need this data updated on the service daily from the SQL Server at 6am. I cannot seem to get it working. Please advise.

Please follow the screenshot below to configure a SQL Server gateway connection:
Then set up this gateway connection for the semantic model:
Then set up a new scheduled refresh. Make sure that you're using the On-premises Data Gateway Standard Edition. You can see it on the following page:
