We are using the trial of Power BI Report Server (On Premise)
We have built some simple reports (Using Power BI Desktop) and saved this to the on premise Power BI Report Server. The reports connect to an on premise sql sever instance. We want to use this report as an unattended dashboard the auto refresh dosent work as it only refreshes the data. Wheras we want to refresh the report when new data comes in.
Any ideas?
If the refresh functionality doesn't work for you have the option of direct query, which connects directly to your data source each time the report is executed.
The report is intended as a wallboard report. So we won't be manually refreshing the report ourselves.
Ahh i see - as far as I know there's no way of doing this in Report Server. The only workaround is to use a browser plugin which refreshes the page every X seconds - yuk.
