parameter usage in query

Why do I receive a 'ORA-00936: missing expression'  with the query below?

I'm new to PBI.   I have a parameter P_AIDYEAR but I can't seem to determine

how to use that parameter in a query.   I think I'm subposed to call it like this   @P_AIDYEAR

but that doesn't work.  Suggestions?

select distinct

           RPRATRM_FUND_CODE

    from  FAISMGR.RFRBASE  RFRBASE,

             FAISMGR.RPRATRM RPRATRM

where RFRBASE.RFRBASE_FUND_CODE  =  RPRATRM.RPRATRM_FUND_CODE

  and  @P_AIDYEAR  =  RPRATRM.RPRATRM_AIDY_CODE

order by  RPRATRM_FUND_CODE

Thank you for your reply.  I was able to resolve the issue.   I was using  @  and should have been using  :

example: when referencing my parameter in the query I should have   :P_AIDYEAR  instead of @P_AIDYEAR

Thanks!

Where does that parameter come from?  Is it defined in Power Query?  Is it a text value or a number?
