hi all,
i'm trying to use the new prevew azure analysis services (to have a non-VM way of putting my tabular model into the cloud), and it directs me to install/config the azure on-premise gateway:
https://azure.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/articles/analysis-services-gateway/
i receive the following error from the install program:
System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0x80004005): Application not found
at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfo startInfo)
at System.Diagnostics.Process.Start()

at Microsoft.DataProxy.EgwInstallBA.ViewModelBase.<get_HyperlinkCommand>b__8(Object param)
at Microsoft.DataProxy.EgwInstallBA.RelayCommand.<>c__DisplayClass6.<Execute>b__4()
anybody have any idea what gives?
thanks for any suggestions,
sff
Can we use the same gateway that we have already installed for Power BI? The instructions I've seen seem to indicate they are slightly different.
If not, can we install the Azure Gateway on the same local server as the Power BI gateway?
Thx, Mike

Hi @Anonymous,
Before install this data gateway, make sure Minimum Requirements mentioned in the article you shared are meet. Please try to save the ASAzureGateway.exe to the Azure Analysis Services server, then run this application as administrator. If issue persists, please share Installer logs (%localappdata%\Temp\On-premises_data_gateway_*.log) and Configuration logs (%localappdata%\Microsoft\on-premises data gateway\GatewayConfigurator*.log) files for our analysis.
Best Regards,
