How can I determine what API version we are using with Salesforce? There are objects in Salesforce that are only visible with an API version or later, and these objects are not visible in Power BI. So we think it may be because we are using an earlier API version...
@jk24,
I use Fiddler to capture the connection process to Salesforce object in Power BI Desktop, and find that the Salesforce API version is v29.0.
As your post, Power BI could use ealier saleforce API version comparing with the API version required by these objects. If you need to connect to salesforce objects that are supported by newer api version, you can use web connector in Power BI Desktop to connect to Salesforce rest api.
Regards,
Lydia
