about the number of rows to which transformation changes and view-tab changes in power query

Hello There,

I got a small concern in Power Query. When we make transformation changes and also changes in view-tab over columns in power query, would they apply to complete data in the view (of the model) or just a subset of data?

I tried to get tips in google, but, didn't really help my attempt. Thank you for your support.

Hi @arunaramana ,

I'm not sure I fully understand the question, but I would say that yes, any transformations you apply in a query in Power Query apply to ALL of the data in that query.

Power Query only usually imports the first 1,000 rows from the data source into the preview window purely to keep load times low, but it does apply all transformations to all data in the query when it is loaded to the data model.

I hope I've answered your actual question.
