Youtube API Token | Authentication

Hi,

I have been using Miguel Escobar's youtube connector (YoutubeAnalytics/YoutubeAnalytics.pq at YoutubeAnalyticsConnector · migueesc123/YoutubeAnalytics (gi...but I am wondering if the authentication used in the connector can be used directly in Power Query, or, somehow retrieve the token needed for the headers to call the API.

That way, having the token directly in Power Query one wouldn't need a gateway for the Custom Connector. I have been trying to implement it but so far no luck.

Has anyone tried something like that? Or even if it is something possible to do?

Hi @FormigoJoao ,

As far as I know, for the security consideration, currently power query could not support this feature to retreve the token needed. When power query calls API, requires authentication instead of automatic retrieval.
