Why can I import file from web on excel but not power bi

Hi! I'm having a weird issue that I'm able to read the tables I imported from the web on excel but as soon as I try to replicate that same step on Power BI, it doesn't work. Please help

Hi. I was out from Thursday until today. So I might need to better explain the situation. I was given an aspx link that contains a table with all the visualizations. The table originates from a database I'm not given security clearance for, but it does update weekly. As it stands, whenever I import the aspx file into excel, the excel shows the totality of the table. In Power BI, it shows the html link but nothing else

It is not weird, it is really like that. desktop allows csv for data export and has limited rows.

In Service, you have more options and you can export more rows.

Hi @MooseGooseLoose 

It's only possible to export to CSV in Desktop.

• Hover over the visual
• Click on the 3 dots top right
• Export data
• You will have a pop up to save
• Name file and choose destination
• Open file
• Go to to the Data tab
• Click on text to columns
• Depending on your device Localle, split be delimiter. I use comma for example
• Press ok
• This will create new columns 
• Save the file as xlsx
