Just found this old thread while looking for an answer myself. The one way I have been able to get power BI to cooperate with webdav is mapping my network drive using the webdav URL and then (for an excel file eg.) importing in power query as Excel Workbook, browsing my file explorer and selecting the wanted file within the network drive. M turned this into Excel.Workbook(Web.Contents( webdav url ), null, true)

Hi @jeyare ,

See: How do I set up WebDAV for Windows 10?

Since WebDav uses URL, you can use Web connector in Power BI to enter the url and authenticate for this URL to use it as a data source.

Refer: Web Connector in Power BI

Thx, but doesn't work.

WebDav source is configured and works under Win10 Explorer, as expected.

In PBI I can use plenty of data from web sources (csv, xls mainly) by the web connector (no WebDav sources). But no way to establish WebDav source in PBI with basic Usr/Psw authentication. Just error there:

Unable to connect. Details: "Access to the resource is forbidden."

Changed permission setup in Data Source Setting for the source address. Still the same stage.
