Hi,
I have a workbook of data that, when I upload it through Power Query and look at the data in the Query Editor, the numbers in a given column do not match the numbers in the original workbook (when viewed simply in Excel, not the Query Editor.) Does anyone know why this is? There are no error messages or anything, and the column header names match perfectly.
Thanks,
Maria
Hi @mariak ,
Are the data up to date? Or whether the data is all expanded.
Best Regards,
Stephen Tao

One possibility that comes to mind is that Power Query is showing you a cached preview of the data. Does the problem persist if you try clicking Refresh Preview or actually loading the data?
What kind of an Excel file? Please post examples of the data as you see it in Excel, and as you see it in Power Query. The issue may have to do with Windows Regional Settings; setting of the data type in Power Query; or something else.
