Hi All,
I need to pass parameters to the dataset through a filter query. I created parameters, passed them in filter query, and created the necessary tables to pass values for those parameters.
The issue is I can't find the 'bind to parameter' option under the 'advance' drop-down menu.
I even enabled the 'Mquery parameter settings' under options and settings, but the 'bind to parameter' option is still not available.
May you please help me to fix this.
Thank you in advance
Romal
Hi @romals29 ,
Dynamic M query parameters (Bind to parameter option) is only available for some Direct Query source.
MySQL is currently not supported. You can see a list of all currently supported data sources for Power BI that can be used with Direct Query here.
There is an open UserVoice request for Direct Query MySQL support here.
Best Regards,
Stephen Tao

Hi All
ok, I found the issue that this 'bind to parameter' option will be enable for data sources that allows directquery feature and unfortunately my data source is from MySQL and it won't allow direct query feature so I can't get 'bind to parameter'.
If so what are my alternatives.
I have a data set query where I need to pass date for start date and end date.
How can I achieve it.
Thank you
Romal
If we use sql server - direct query source whether we will get bind to parameter option enabled? i am not getting it? i want to check whether that option is vailable for sql server or i misssed any steps?
Anybody has inputs on - unable to find bind to parameter option?
I am having a similar issue, it looks like my coworkers were able to do this on previous versions of PowerBI but the (December 2022) version does not have the 'bind to parameter' option. Hopefully someone has a work around or Microsoft provided another update with a fix.
