Troubles with " in csv file

Hi, collegues,

Did anybody have troubles with text qualifiers in power query (csv files)?

query does not split into columns line with quote " f.e.  ,"ABC,125, .

XLS has a special feature in "data tools - text to columns" - text qualifier ", ` or none. query does not have that 😞

Yes, PQ doesn't have Text qualifier. You can do a Replace value on text qualifer after importing. For example, if quotes are your text qualifier, use following statement

= Table.ReplaceValue(Source,"""","",Replacer.ReplaceText,Table.ColumnNames(Source))

tnx, but it is not in my case. I need to replace sign " before import csv file.

Please vote for the idea here so that Power Query team notices it. More the votes are, the higher attention it gets from PQ Dev team. Currently votes are very less....

CSV import needs to handle text qualifiers

p.s. I just voted as 29th person.
