Track Changes (or prevent changes) to Power Query

I have a PBI model that I need to prove to auditors has not been modified. Is there some way to see or track changes made within Power Query? Alternatively, is there some way to lock it so that further changes cannot be made? I am hoping to refresh the report every month with a new data source (flat file), but I do not want to change the steps applied within Power Query, and need to prove that no changes to the steps have been made.

That level of detail is not auditable at the moment.  If this is important to you please consider voting for an existing idea or raising a new one at https://ideas.fabric.microsoft.com
