Hi
I have a column that has values like the two below. (They are refrences for energy meters so can't split the column)
1.17E+20
110000145031604032N14
The column type can't be number as some of the values have letters, but when I have it set as text I get the error message 'The number is out of range of a 64 bit integer value.'
Any advice please?

this code
let
type_any = #table(type table [column = any], {{1.17E+20}, {"110000145031604032N14"}}),
type_text = Table.TransformColumnTypes(type_any,{{"column", type text}})
in
type_text
works just fine. Make sure that you change type to text, not Whole Number
I cannot reproduce your issue unless there is there a preceding step where the data type is being set to Int64.Type or Whole Number.
this code
let
type_any = #table(type table [column = any], {{1.17E+20}, {"110000145031604032N14"}}),
type_text = Table.TransformColumnTypes(type_any,{{"column", type text}})
in
type_text
works just fine. Make sure that you change type to text, not Whole Number
