Table append issue

Hi All

    I have Table 1 source from share point and did some additional steps like adding additional columns,

    Then I extracted Table 2 by using distinct option on Table 2.

Now if I tried to append Table 2 to Table 1 its showing circular dependency error. Can anyone help me in sorting this issue.

Note: I need the appended values under Table 1 only because we are already using the data from Table 1 and created visuals.

without duplicating the table 1, create the table 2 from the sharepoint source and apply all the required calculated formula( you can replicate the same calculated steps as in table 1), and now the append will work without any interuption.

@Kesavaraman Circular Dependency means Table1 is dependent on Table2 and at the same time Table2 is dependent on Table1, since you have mentioned you applied some transformation in Table1 I would check is there any reference to Table2 in Table1's query or Table1 in Table2's query.

Hi @Kesavaraman,
can you please try below one?

Right-click Table 1 in Power Query and choose "Reference" (not "Duplicate"), then rename it to NewTable to ensure independence from Table 1.

Apply the Distinct operation on NewTable to create Table 2, preventing a direct dependency on Table 1.

Append Table 2 to Table 1, ensuring that Table 2 is sourced from NewTable, thus eliminating the circular reference.

Duplicating the base table and creating table 2 out of distinct(duplicate table1) , and appending table 2 to table 1 also didnt work

can you try duplicating the base table and then apply the distinct operation?
this might resove circular dependency issue.
