Summarize data by Date

Hi

I am new to Power Bi. I am trying to display count of data by date. Please suggest how to proceede, my data is like below.

I was hoping to display data in a table like below

1/1/2018    2

1/15/2018  1

1/22/2018  1

1/29/2018  2

2/5/2018    1

2/12/2018  2

and so forth.

Just create an count measure:

Measure = COUNT('Table'[Date])

Thanks for the respone, I tried the same but no luck. However, I was able to get it fixed, the summarization is not working because Power Bi not able to reade Date column as date. When I try to apply format to date it started working fine. Appreciate for time and inputs provided.

Thanks for sharing the link, I did try same, however I couln't see the Date column which I should work for in Transform view. On the other, the date column is a derived (new measue) from other date column. Please advise is it something I am missing here.

the result i have provided is the grouping result..if you want to see the actual data source.then go to the power query editor,duplicate the source and then apply the steps what i have done..

Thanks for the reply, I try to follow the steps how ever I could'n see the data column in Transform as if the data column is derived from other date colunm. Please advise is there any other workaround.
