Summarize data by Date

Hi I am new to Power Bi. I am trying to display count of data by date. Please suggest how to proceede, my data is like below. I was hoping to display data in a table like below 1/1/2018    2...

    Thanks for sharing the link, I did try same, however I couln't see the Date column which I should work for in Transform view. On the other, the date column is a derived (new measue) from other date column. Please advise is it something I am missing here.

      the result i have provided is the grouping result..if you want to see the actual data source.then go to the power query editor,duplicate the source and then apply the steps what i have done..
