Hi,
I need to split columns by series of delimiters.
I use a delimiters list: delimiters = {",", "-","—"}.
The step I use is: Table.SplitColumn(source, "title", Splitter.SplitTextByEachDelimiter(delimiters, QuoteStyle.None)).
Power Query splits with just the first delimiter from my list and ignores the rest ones.
Thanks in advance.
Solved! Go to Solution.
My mistake was I did not let the function to create a columns.
I added {"title", "1".."5"} and now that is ok.

In fact, you can also use Splitter.SplitTextByAnyDelimiter or
Splitter.SplitTextByEachDelimiter
--Nate
Change your function to Text.SplitAny([TextColumn], ",", "-", "~"). I used the ~ because I don't have the long dash on my phone.
Text.SplitAny(text as text, separators as text) as list
--Nate
Hard to know what you are doing wrong without data that demonstrates the problem.
Please provide a data sample (as text which can be copy/pasted) that demonstrates the problem.
Perhaps you mean to use Splitter.SplitTextByAnyDelimiter?
