Shared Dataset - Query Analytics

Do Reports and Visuals created from a Shared Dataset-Live Connection perform queries against the original Dataset? If so, how often are the queries performed and would those Queries, Reports, and/or Visuals created in the Shared Dataset-Live Connection potenitally impact Power Query Performance or responsiveness?

Hi @Mbrownsfp ,

Did you create a report by getting data from power bi dataset in power bi desktop? In that scenario, that is a kind of live connection as you said. Every time we created or refresh the tile, it will query the data model in the original dataset. Here that will not impact power query performance for the original dataset.
