In PowerBI I have setup an ODBC connection to a Greenplum Postgres database. While this connection is successful "importing" the data into the report, I do not get the "Direct Query" option -which is what I want. I have read it is possible to set "Direct Query" using something called M (but this may be Powerquery? is this in PowerBI?) and ODBC at the link below.

Does anyone know if it is possible to setup DirectQuery with Postgres using an ODBC driver?
Thanks for the response, unfortunately when I connect through an ODBC driver neither of those options are available (There is no data connectivity mode through ODBC and the two storage modes other than import are grayed out. I tried using the advanced editor and setting "SupportsDirectQuery=true" but no luck.
Hi @bill2999 ,
You can connect to PostgreSQL based on the built-in connector. It provides the DrectQuery mode to choose.
You can also try switching the import to DirectQuery in Model view.
