SSAS performance using Enterprise Gateway

I have a report page that is slow to load from PowerBi.  There are 5 visuals on the page and using profiler each query takes 20+ seconds to load.  If I suck out the DAX and execute with DAX Studio (using clear cache) the queries take less than 2 seconds.

 

It seems like the gateway slows down when there are more than a couple of queries executing at once.  Does the Gateway multitask and run the queries in parallel or sequentially?

 

Are there any tweaks I can make to the gateway to speed up the queries? Our on-premise server has 32 CPU's and 760GB of fast memory.
