Hello,
PBI entry level here.
We have a PBI report which is connected with Dynamics SQL server.
We would like to add a Column where users should input comments regarding items retrieved from Db.
Can we exclude this column from the refresh? Cause everytime we refresh the data, the column dissapears, as it doesnt exist in DAX Db.
Can't do that unless they use Power BI Desktop.
at what point do users input their comments? In Power BI? Power BI has no memory, and does have very limited write-back capabilities.
Please provide more context.
In that case the comments column needs to reside in a separate table that was manually created via "Enter data" and then linked to the Dynamics data via the data model.
hi @lbendlin
Pls check attached screenshot.
We have 5 queries into 5 different tables.
The ''table'' is the user comment column.
How can i merge them into one ?
hello @lbendlin
- User will input their comments uppon refreshing the PBI report with the latest data.
Comments in column within PBI, shouldn't write back to DB.
- Inside the PBI report yes.
