Remove character at the beggining of string

In power apps cavnas app i have strings for example

##94032ds###ds#fflsd##dfd#

i want to remove all character # at the begging of string for example

##94032ds###ds#fflsd##dfd# -> 94032ds###ds#fflsd##dfd#

 

######94032ds###ds#fflsd##dfd# -> 94032ds###ds#fflsd##dfd#

 

How to do this ?

You can use the Match function to do that:

 

Match("##94032ds###ds#fflsd##dfd#", "^#*(?.+)$").restOfString

 

Regular expressions can be very useful in these scenarios, even if they are not the easiest to understand. I've found the site https://regex101.com/ useful to help explaining those. In this case, we are looking at the beginning of the string for all instances of the '#' character, followed by anything else, which I named 'restOfString' - which can then be retrieved from the result of Match.
