Hello,
for one of our clients I would like to develop Power BI reports connected to their local data sources (SSAS, SAP BW, Excel). The main issue comes from me not having access to their servers on my laptop.
As I have thought about it there are three options:
Before publishing to the Power BI web services we would install data gateway on the client's servers the facilitate the connection.
Are the three options above the only ones or is there a better way? I feel like I am missing something. I would definitely prefer using my own laptop.
Thank you for any advice.
Jan

@JanBuzek,
It is better to use the first method. After sending the PBIX file to your client, just replace the source code in Advanced editor of your queries in Power BI Desktop query editor,
And to make everything smooth, ensure the table structures in your excel file are same as that in your client's data sources.
Regards,
Lydia
