I am pulling a table into Power Query and to speed it up I am doing the initial load with a SQL query with a WHERE clause that references a parameter that is input by the user in an excel table in the same xls. This all worked for me and sped things up nicely. However when other users refresh the query they get this error "Formula.Firewall: Query 'Dynamic query' (step 'Source') references other queries or steps, so it may not directly access a data source. Please rebuild this data combination." Privacy Settings are none for both sources. I now get thie error as well

If every user sets Data>Get Data>Query Options> Global Privacy to always ignore then it works. Thanks

Hi - yes the global settings are set to ignore privacy level and yes it works if I hard code the parameter in the sql query.
Hi
First check in options settings global if the ignore privacy level has been checked
You could also check by passing the parameter directly thorugh sql query if you havent tried that do try
