In desktop in the add column tab is an option to create a custom column, but I don't see that option in the online query editor. Is it located somewhere else? If it's not there, anyone know of any workarounds?

Hi @Anonymous
As a workaround, you can right click on the table name and select "Advanced editor", write "Table.AddColumn" query.
If you are not familiar with M queries, you can add a custom column in query editor in Power BI Desktop, then copy the format to power query online and change the specific parameters.
