We have below python script that retrieves data fro ma local Excel fine and creates a desired table in Power Query.
import pandas as pd
input_file_path = "C:/myfile.xlsx"
sheet_name = "sheet1"
df = pd.read_excel(input_file_path, sheet_name=sheet_name)
# Extract requied columns
df = df[['column1', 'column2', 'column3', 'column4']]
However, we now need to source the data from a sharepoint location.Is there a way to achieve this without having to include a username and password for the sharepoint connection in the script? Alternatively, can we use an existing table from power query as input for the script?
Running above script = Power Query > Get Data > Python Scripting
Have you considered using the standard SharePoint Folder connector? You get the Excel transform for free, and your credentials are cached.
