PowerBI Personal Gateway is not asking for username and password

Contrary to this article:

PowerBI Personal Gateway does not ask for windows credentials. That means when I doble click on it, I get the following popup and the credential textboxes are missing.

How do I change the windows credentials that the connector supposed to login?

How do I change the PBI portal login in the connector?

I am getting this problem and notice that it has not been resolved on this page. Has anyone got a solution?

What version are you using? Mine shows my credentials in that window.

@Greg_Deckler I downloaded it through this link yesterday: https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/gateway

So it must be a very recent version.

I think there is a hidden error or problem, that gateway is not showing. Not sure where to go from here 😞

@AllanXu Did you run the installer as an administrator?

I have tried the on premises version instead and have run into a different problem that I wont go into here...

I'm having the same issue - so how do you launch the configuration wizard manually?

I'm having issues with freshly downloaded version too, keeps saying Personal gateway is offline though it does seem to be running.  If I restart the gateway when I try to update credentials it then goes offline again....there must be an issue with the latest version.....
