Power Query Table from list

Hi,
When using Table from list is is possible to define a data type, I recnently created a one column date table which I loaded to pbi,

= Table.FromList(
 List.Dates( #date(2020,1,1), 365, #duration(1,0,0,0)),
 Splitter.SplitByNothing(), {"Date"}, type date )

 and was not sure why it was not working until a noticeed the data type date had not been applied, so went back and changed

manually , all ok, but I would have thought it would be possible all in one step, any suggestion or what am I doing wrong?

Richard.

Hi @Dicken, yes it is:

= Table.FromList({1..5}, (x)=> {x}, type table[Just Numbers=Int64.Type])

Replace your code with this one:

= Table.FromList(
 List.Dates( #date(2020,1,1), 365, #duration(1,0,0,0)),
 Splitter.SplitByNothing(), type table[Date=date] )

Note: Check this link to learn how to use my query.

I had a feeling it was not just  straightforward type or as folllowd by data type.

Thank you,

Richard.
