Power Query - Table.SelectRows never ending

Hi folks! I'm facing something weird. I'm trying select rows a table based on a column from another table.  I wrote that: Table.SelectRows(#"Colunas Renomeadas", each List.Contains(contas_fDados[Código],[Alternativa Conta]))

The function seems to work, but it never ends. I've already tried with another column and it didn't work.

Any idea?

Thanks in advance!

Hi @rber

Try adding extra step before Table.SelectRows with List.Buffer
step1 = List.Buffer( contas_fDados[Código] ),

step2 = Table.SelectRows( #"Colunas Renomeadas", each List.Contins( step1, [Alternativa Conta] ) )

Mariusz

@Mariusz  Great! It worked, thanks a lot. However, I'm still wondering why my method didn't work 🤔

Hi @rber

Your method works it's just too heavy on the engine, adding list.buffer loads your list into memory so it's easier and faster to access, other than that your code remains the same.
