Power Query Error "AutoPremiumInvalidIndex" when using merge query

Hello

Im getting the error below, when i save and run my query. This error only occurs when i have a "merge query" in my query. Also the merge query is set up properly by it showing the right value in the preview pane. And the query run with no error when removing the merge query steps.

Dose anyone know this problem and have a sulotion?

Hi,

Today, when trying to save dataflows in a PPU workspace, with a PPU license, I am getting the following message:

mcatalano_1-1719420305569.png

It is a dataflow with just one query, without any transformations.

I was able to work with this dataflow today in the morning, started showing this message before noon EST.

Hello @JohnMarkPerez,

Have you tried saving a dataflow or a datamart here? There are various transformations that can only be done with Power BI Premium. In a dataflow, this is displayed with a lightning bolt.

aha Yes, the query have the icon when using merge query. Does this mean i need premium licens to run this query? and can i use PPU licens for this?

Hello @JohnMarkPerez,

Can you run your query without the merge? Your error message indicates another possible problem.

By removing the the merge query, the bolt icon disappear and i can run the query with no error. Note i have a pro licens.

Hello @JohnMarkPerez

if your merge absolutely has to be created in the dataflow, Premium is required. If you have an SQL data source, the problem could also be solved with views. Or there are other creative ideas?
