We have set powerBI up to communicate with the REST API of our CRM system Bullhorn.
We have pulled and warehoused 2 years worth of data and have all our reports functioning properly. The only challenge we are getting is that we have to manually refresh the data we need to do this automatically.
The issue we are facing is that when retrieving the initial authorisation code as part of the api login process, the api is returning the autorisation code in the url which power bi cant recognise, forcing us to have to manually take this code from the url
We can bypass this by using refresh tokens, to prevent the need for manual intervention, however we cannot find a way to deploy this refresh token across the multiple reports that we have running simultaneously, meaning the refresh doesn’t happen.
Please help!
Very late to the party here, but am wondering if you managed to get any success with this? I am an IT Mananger for a recruitment organisation that uses Bullhorn and would like to see if this is worth pursuing? As you probably know the reporting in BH is dreadful, and Bullhorn Analytics (formally Cube19) isn't up to the task for our requirements.
What I really want to know are things better pulling into Power BI for Bullhorn reporting?
Thanks
Chris
Have you considered using Power Automate for the refreshes?
