Hi,
Post powerquery my data is being converted to match the majority of the captitalisation. For example, instances of 'powerbi' are being converted to 'Powerbi' but I don't want it to do that. The only work around I've found is replacing values of 'Powerbi' to be 'incorrect' and then the capitalisation remains unchanged within 'powerbi'. I think there is some sort of "smart capitalisation" which I need to disable or find a reliable work around.
Thanks.

Some people add invisible characters to make the fields unique (see Chris Webb's blog at crossjoin).
I'm sure there are other workarounds
What's the data source?
The data source is sharepoint and I'm validating the source data against my own inputs
I think this is to do with the case-insensitivity model of power bi. You can find a few posts on the subject already.
"powerbi" and "Powerbi" are equivalent in powerbi and I think it converts them automatically.
If it is this issue, i think it only happens with certain fields which are regarded as keys.
So there's no way to stop this from happening? Or perhaps a little trick to work around this feature?
Thanks.
