Performance of referenced table

HI All

In power query i have created a query to SAP (SAP connector) = QUERY_A. This load is quite big. In PBI DAX i'm loading from this QUERY_A some data, which i want to move to M query, becuase i think the performance will be better.

The question:

What will happen, if in M query i create a duplicate copy of the QUERY_A - using reference - QUERY_B? Will be there two loads from SAP (both QUERY_A and QUERY_B), or just one which is the QUERY_A?

that means

[SAP->QUERY_A->QUERY_B], or [SAP->QUERY_A and SAP->QUERY_B]

thank you

You need to create a reference query not duplicate query. For reference query, only original query will be loaded. Hence, it will be

[SAP->QUERY_A->QUERY_B]

But if you create a duplicate query, then it would be

[SAP->QUERY_A and SAP->QUERY_B]

Thank you For the answer. Have you the same experience when using SAP BW and SAP Connector.
I have done some test during the weekend, where the setup of the queries was like [SAP->QUERY_A->QUERY_B, QUERY_A->Query_C,....] (used reference for the other queries B, C,...). When processed only with query_a, refresh was 1hour, when with the other queries refresh was 8hours.
