Hello,
I am trying to get data from two databases in the same report. I am using oData as source. However, when I am going to edit the data form one of the two databases the other one is diconnecting. Is it possible to use oData from different databases? How can I keep them connected and use my data in the same query?
@mariaHad,
How do you connect to the two databases in Power BI Desktop? Could you please post the error message you get in Power BI Desktop?
Regards,
Lydia
@Anonymous,
Thank you for your response.
I am connecting to the databases with Basic method. I am adding the credentials and can edit the data of each one successfully. I don't receive any error message while I am adding the credentials. However, I can edit the data of only one database at a time because the other one is disconnected. The error message I received is: " We couldn't authonticate with the credentials provided. Please try again. -Edit Credentials- ". I am editing the credentials of this database and the other one appears the same error. So I could not edit the data of both databases, at the same time, in a new query. (I have two different oData from different databases and I would like to create a new query with data of both of them)
@mariaHad,
What OData URL do you use? Is there any dependency between the two URLs? What is the result if you start a new PBIX file?
Regards,
Lydia
I am using OData from live environment of two different companies with no depedency between them. I tried to clear the permissions of the Data source and edit them again (from Data source settings). Now they look good. Thank you very much for your help!
