OData - Using nested system queries for Table.ExpandTableColumn

I'm attempting to perform nested expansion on an OData entity collection. The path I'm expecting is of the below form.

EntityCollection$expand=EntityNavigationProperty($expand=EntityCollectionNavigationProperty)

I attempted this by performing the following steps.

  1. Table.ExpandRecordColumn on "EntityNavigationProperty"
  2. Table.ExpandTableColumn on "EntityCollectionNavigationProperty"

However, when using Table.ExpandTableColumn, it seems to perform a navigation similar to the following.

EntityCollection(key1)/EntityNavigationProperty?$expand=EntityCollectionNavigationProperty

The source I am connecting to does not implement navigation properties using this syntax, and it is undesirable to fetch the data in this fashion, because it results in one web call per entity.

Is there some steps I can change or perform to instead fetch the data in a single web call such as how the first url format?

Hi @brianscott0001 ,

I know little about "nested expansion on an OData entity collection".

Could you share me a sample to show the initial and expected result of this expression?

EntityCollection$expand=EntityNavigationProperty($expand=EntityCollectionNavigationProperty)

Best Regards,

Icey
